And according to industry surveys, about 15% of companies hosting holiday parties say that inappropriate employee behavior at holiday parties in the past has had an impact on the individual's career growth in the company.

· 01 - Excessive Drinking.

In addition to keeping conversations short, event guests should also remember that this is a time when everyone can celebrate the successes of the year. It means a cheerful mood.

Remember, stories are often heard by others nearby, and those people will add their own twist to the story. A dwarf comment can be quickly taken out of context and becomes this year's rumor mill, and your name is on it.

· 05 - Excessive Absence.

· 07 - Excessive Guests.

Party Scenario: The Company excludes personal guests for the first time this year, but your partner remains good friends with most of your colleagues and knows many of the bosses. You decided to bring him or her with you because several people in your department agreed it was a good idea.

Some organizations allow additional guests, but many do not. Remember this is an official sponsored company event. All the planning decisions have been carefully weighed, and there are many legitimate reasons behind such decisions, including the accounting expenses.

If guests are excluded from the invitation, schedule another party with your friends and family, and let them stay home this year.

· 08 - Excessive personal time with another employee.

Party Scenario: You stay for the duration of the party and join other colleagues elsewhere for drinks after it ends. You may have just attacked to the point where you might feel a little less disabled than a few hours earlier. And then you act on what may not be the best decision of the day: you go back to the office with another co-worker.

Remember this: in most offices, security cameras are often placed where you may not realize, including corridors, stairs, etc. Many organizations take different views on personal relationships between employees and managers. And at least everyone's sure about personal meetings at the office and elsewhere - long after the party is over.
